- Seriál se měl původně jmenovat Orange County,ale protože už existoval film se stejným jménem,tak se producenti rozhodli pro The O.C.
- Postava Sandyho Cohena byla označena jako 25.v pořadí v žebříčku 50-ti nejlepších otců všech dob.(20.6.2004)
- Adam Brody nemá rád lodě a vodu.Takže když Seth na konci 1.série odplouvá-nebyl to Adam.Byl to 45 letý muž s parukou.
- Když se dělal kasting na Marissu,Josh Schwartz řekl producentům,aby vybrali to nejkrásnější děvče,které kdy viděli.Nakonec vybrali Mischu Barton,kvůli její nemotorné kráse(mysleno v dobrém :D).
- V jedné scéně,kde se hovoří o Marisse,mluví o ní,že se podobá dívce z filmu ´Šestý Smysl´.Vtip je v tom,že Mischa Barton(Marissa) v tom seriále hrála.
- Adam Brody chtěl hrát postavu Ryana Atwooda
- Peter Callagher a Mischa Barton byli první obsazené postavy.Producenti také měli problémy s rolí Ryana Atwooda.Jeho roli dostal herec,který přišel na kasting na poslední chvíli-Benjamin McKenzie.
